Children's Day Charity Bazaar
On June 1, 2026, HW School became a lively "love carnival." The Children's Day charity bazaar, themed "Exploring the World, Love for All," kicked off in the Tongwen Building atrium, and in classrooms. Teachers, students, and parent volunteers joined in, creating novelty and warmth.

This was no ordinary bazaar but a "global adventure." Each grade featured a different continent: Grade 1 – Oceania, Grade 2 – South America, Grade 3 – Asia, Grade 4 – Europe, Grade 5 – Asia (new activities), Grade 6 – Africa, and Grades 7-8 – Chinese ethnic culture.
Each class became a "window to the world," offering exotic snacks, handmade games, intangible cultural heritage like paper-cutting, and Kung Fu tea demos. Children learned, played, and laughed nonstop.

Stalls were filled with secondhand toys, books, stationery, calligraphy and paintings, and handmade crafts.
Kids acted as shopkeepers, learning to price, shout out deals, give change, and smile at customers. Through this, they learned to share and appreciate.

Though older, middle school students played games with serious enthusiasm, weaving through stalls with childlike joy. Teachers also joined in—some helped hawk goods, others bought eagerly, and some even showed off talents.
At HW, everyone has a heart that refuses to grow up, and that childlike spirit is the best reason to spread love.

Every cent from the bazaar went into HW's special fund, managed by the Lingnan Education Charity Foundation, to help those in need. Class donation certificates were awarded, and children's eyes lit up—realizing their small actions could truly make the world a bit better.
"I'm so happy today! And I know what I bought can help others," a child smiled. Parents praised the event: laughter and meaning combined—children learned to love while playing, and grew through giving.

Children's Day is not just about receiving gifts, but about sharing love and spreading joy. HW School used this creative bazaar to let children experience the world in a lively way, and grow through giving—
This Children's Day, we left behind neither joy nor love.
